Colin John Solo

Here's a clip of Colin John playing a Hawaiian Classic,"Akaka Falls" on a DL Lapsteel Guitar at the Kohala Village Hub in Hawi, Hawaii.
The new Hahn Guitars Model C created in collaboration with Jim Campilongo is a great Telecaster style guitar. It's got all the sounds you could hope for-and then some-in this type of instrument. Definitely digging it as I'm sure all Model C players are. Chihoe and Jim really got it right on this model.

...such was the jaw-dropping skill displayed by the fretboard worrier from Hawaii....an evening of quality blues, filthy funk and soul featuring the sort of plank-spanning heroics that Hendrix would have made if he joined a surf band.”

Credit Long Tall Deb and Colin John for forging their own unique sound. It’s refreshing and captivating.”

Colin John has electrified audiences worldwide with blues, rock, and American roots music. Extended stops for the British-American guitarist include Memphis – where he played in B.B. King’s Blues Club’s house band – and Hawaii, where he dove headfirst into the crystal blue ocean, as well as Hawaiian slack-key guitar and the lap steel.
